We believe that cemeteries are not for the dead - they are for the living. Certainly, cemeteries honor the memory of those interred in them, but they also preserve the heritage of the communities they serve. The Board and volunteers of Mason County Cemetery District No.1 provide for the ground maintenance and business planning to ensure Twin Firs Cemetery pays respect to the community it serves.
 
Many of the pioneers of the North Mason area are buried in Twin Firs. The Cemetery is a treasure trove for genealogists and Washington State history buffs. Twin Firs Cemetery was founded in 1955 located on land donated by the James Larson Estate.
